The wine’s keynotes are a musky grapiness low alcohol (about 5 per cent), sweetness, and a zingy acidity and light effervescence that offsets the sweetness. They’re not luscious or sweet enough to be dessert wines. In fact, they’re light fruity and refreshing enough to enjoy as at aperitif. Deakin Estate’s release of this wine is very admirable indeed and this is probably one of Australia’s best value Moscato’s on the market, light refreshing with good flavours and refreshing appeal. This is a great wine on a warm day be it lunch or dinner.
