It is brick red in colour with amber tones. Rich rancio characters are obvious on the nose. Walnuts and ripe sweet tobacco leaf, excellent concentration of fruit, thick with nuances of marmalade, leather, cocoa and ribena. A lively fruit acidity, very complimentery, wraps itself around the finely pitched sweetness of this Tawny wine. The palate is sweet to start off with, and then dries off beautifully to a clean, persistent finish.
