Sangiovese can be found throughout most wine regions of Italy, however is most commonly associated with the Tuscany region. Brunello (�little dark one�) is a Tuscan dialect name for a particular clone of Sangiovese grown in Montalcino, south of both Chianti and Siena These wines are typically aged for around 10 months in barrel prior to final filtration and bottling and ageing for several months prior to release. This Sangiovese, produced from the famous Brunello clone has medium red colour, with dusty, earthy, stewed fruit aromas. The palate shows full ripeness and structure, with a lovely balance of fruit and oak and long savoury finish. Suited perfectly to polenta and stew, enjoy within 3 � 4 years of vintage
