The new Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet is very exciting. It is a great traditional Australian blend of two of our famous grape varieties. This wine is put together with fruit from some excellent South Australian regions and it is drinking really well. It has a lovely rich full body with elements of ripe dark fruit with lovely amounts of spice on the palate. The oak towards the end fills out over the mouth to make for a great lingering finish. Penfolds are a smart outfit that just keep offering up quality!
