‘(Limiestone Coast) A great year for shiraz, 2006 was dry and temperatures during the growing season were moderate, great conditions for even ripening. This blend of 95% shiraz and 5% viognier was treated with a combination of open and closed fermentation techniques and 18 months of oak treatment in French barriques, achieving the soft and approachable tannins in our first ever shiraz viognier release. The resulting wine showcases spicy aromas with lifted floral notes courtesy of the viognier. The palate is lively and rounded with good fruit weight and a soft lingering finish. ‘
