Colour is a sump oil black. An intense nose. A combination of uber ripe plums and dark cherries, overlaid with noticeable concentrations of very fine oaks and liquorice. This wine is dense and it s a blockbuster. Your tastebuds are pile driven with an onslaught of super ripe, super rich, black berry fruits and exotic spices. The tongue heavy palate also carries with it ripe cherries, plums and black olives. The oak only just manages to poke its head above the tidal wave of McLaren Vale s finest Shiraz flavours. Trademark RockBare liquorice tannins are there too in generous proportions and these will continue to mellow with time, rewarding those who have the patience to cellar
