Indian wine producer, Vallee de Vin, based in Mumbai, are preparing to sell 125,000 litres their flagship wine, Zampa, in the UK and Dubai.

The company, which is one of the biggest Indian wine producers, plans to start making sales within the next six months. Neeraj Deorah, a Vallee de Vin director, told Business Standard:

“Though India is a growing market for wines, UK is an established location to promote Indian wines. There is a huge Indian population residing in the UK and hence, Zampa would receive excellent response there.

Dubai is an emerging market for wines. We expect good esponse to Indian wines in this international business centre. We plan to export our product to Dubai over next six months.

We have set a target of 1,25,000 litres sales during first 12 months. Although, there is a talk of recession in liquor market, wine segment is growing at a good pace.

We have tied up with distributors and hotels to promote our products.

Vallee de Vin currently offer a range of wines: red, white and rose, which are made from a vineyard owned in Nashik and grapes purchased from local growers.
