Variety:
Overall: Spend the extra two dollars on buying the Two Hands
2006 Castello del Poggio Moscato D’Asti DOCG, Portacomaro D’Asti
Colour: Straw
Nose: Broad, with dusty hay and slight vinous characters
Palate: Goes absolutely nuts in mouth with dissolved CO2 when freshly opened/poured, quite disconcerting. Sweet and round, some pleasant lychee, straw characters. Could do with a touch more acid to balance out the finish.
Price: $13 AUD
Alcohol: 5.5% Alc/Vol
Variety: Moscato Bianco
Overall: Not bad for the money. Big Tip – Shake vigorously and allow some CO2 to blow off after opening / before drinking.
