Tyrrells Vodka at the Taste of Edinburgh Festival
This is the vodka which was tested by Oz Clarke and James May on their “Drink to Britain” documentary show. The small distillery was started when a potato chipper was looking for equipment and found an old copper vodka still. Charles Tyrrell, who famously started the vegetable crisps brand, is now behind the project and the smooth creamy vodka has been used to make liqueurs such as raspeberry, rhubarb and elderflower using locally grown fruits. The enterprise now supplies Harrods, local farm shops and Valvona Crolla in Edinburgh (there are three shops at the following postcodes: EH7 4AA, EH1 3DQ, Jenners EH2 2YJ). Chase vodka is gluten free and £32.25 for 70cl – buy it by clicking here. You can buy the vodka-based liqueurs by clicking here.

Just bought a bottle form waitrose, love the brand and what they stand for – Being British !!
We spend far to much money as consumers on foreign products and pay no attention to where there raw ingredients are sourced from. Well the owners son actually grows the potatoes that go into the vodka !
