Vinicola Bove was established in 1930 and has since modernized the winery, which now boasts a high-tech bottling plant. The estate comprises 60 hectares of well situated vineyards and under the watchful eye of oenologist Dott. Vittorio Festa, the vinification techniques ensure the production of the highest quality wines from low yields, with rigorous grape selection and refined ageing in oak barrels. The native Montepulciano grape (not to be confused with the town of that name in Tuscany where Vino Nobile is made) is a vine of undeniable distinction. The AVEGIANO is rich with chunky fruit and firm tannins. Vintage: 2007 Grapes: 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Soil: Marl & Clay Vinification: The grapes were de-stemmed and softly pressed. Brief skin maceration. Fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tank Ageing: 4 months maturation in tank followed by 2 months in bottle prior to release. Colour: Lively pink Serve: Chilled as an aperitif or to accompany fish stew, meat hors d'oeuvres, white meats and soft cheese. Taste: Strawberry fruit on the plate, fresh and well structured with a dry, clean finish
