The limestone, clay and gravel soils offer a perfect balance in the Savignac Vineyard for the vine to flourish. Taken from the highest altitude Paul Mas vineyard with a southeast facing slope to catch maximum sunlight. All spice and blackberry on the nose with subtle background notes of cocoa and tasty oak. The palate is lush and full with dark fruit and liquorice intermingled with velvety tannins. This dark and meaty Carignan offers real complexity and will reward drinkers over the following couple of years and perfect with game pie.

This is a really interesting wine, in the good sense! With enticing, intense aromas of toasted brioche, almonds, apricots, baked apples and vanilla. The palate it opulent with a buttery, honeyed texture and vibrant flavours of tarte tatin, vanilla and butterscotch. It is rich and mellow with a very long, indulgent finish.

This wine is made exclusively for Majestic, hence the name! This first release of Majestic Peaks Pinot Noir shows vibrant wild thyme, spice, liquorice, rich raspberry jam and cherry aromatics. The palate is all about Central Otago showing elegance and a soft powerful tannin structure supporting cherry, cassis, chocolate and raspberry spice flavours. This will drink wonderfully with duck cooked in Chinese five spice.

Whilst this wine may not be available from the Fine Wine Centre please check with your local store for availability. This is a dense, fruity wine with good structure and firm tannins. Displaying aromas of cassis, dried plum and violets with underlying notes of spicy cedar and liquorice. From the forward drinking 2004 vintage, this is a joy now but has the benefit of also being an excellent cellar candidate for those who are patient.

Sourced from the Maipo Valley, one of the northerly growing regions of Chile, the grapes for this wine achieve perfect ripeness. The resulting wine is robust, fleshy and intense with genuine class. Drinking well now and with immense promise for short to mid-term cellaring.

A Burgundian-style offering produced by Maison Louis Latour, the grapes for this wine are sourced from the Vars region near the south-eastern Mediterranean coast, at similar altitudes to Latours own vineyards in the Côte de Beaune. Candied cherry fruits with a spicy perfume on the nose, a velvety textured palate brimming with ripe cherry and strawberry fruits laced with vanilla, leading to a rounded finish. Try alongside pork belly or roast partridge.

The ripe soft Pinot Noir grapes have been sourced from Bodega Catena Zapata's high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza. Attractive cherry and fig fruit flavours are finely combined with a rich silky texture and a long supple finish.

From a privately owned estate in the southern Rhône Valley comes this beautiful Gigondas wine with great concentration and balance. An elegant nose of black fruit is followed by a remarkable palate of blackcurrant, thyme, liquorice and tobacco characters. Warming peppery spice on the finish makes this perfect with casseroles.
