Yellow Tail Wine at the Taste of Edinburgh Festival

The Wine Blokes tried the Yellow Tail Cabernet Sauvignon 2008, the Yellow Tail 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, the Yellow Tail 2007 Chardonnay and the Yellow Tail bubbles which is not yet widely available. Yellow Tail have involved some clever masking technology, using Walkman’s and old nineties music to try and evoke nostalgic feelings in people tasting the wine. Wine Bloke 1 was instructed to listen to Meatloaf whilst drinking the plummy Cabernet Sauvignon whilst Wine Bloke 2 was given Now 10 on the old-skool headphones to match with the applely, sweet and slightly cloying Yellow Tail bubbles. Yellow Tail are owned by Casbella Wines who blend the grapes from throughout the South-Eastern Australian region.
